Submission Guidelines

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

 

The abstract submission should include the following information:
- the name of the author(s), their affiliation(s) and email address(es);
- title of their presentation;
- a summary (max. 500 words in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French or German);
- five keywords.

 

Submissions must be sent via the REGISTRATION FORM.
 
The abstracts should be submitted no later than June 1, 2016.
Notice of acceptance will be sent within a period of 15 days.

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF COMPLETE ARTICLES THAT ARE APPROVED FOR PUBLICATION IN THE PROCEEDINGS
 
The manuscripts of the articles should be sent to lali@unb.br until October 30, 2016.
 
The accepted formats are Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), LibreOffice or OpenOffice (.odt) documents.
All files must be accompanied with a PDF (.pdf).
Images and tables should be included in the text.

 

Note: prominent works presented during the meeting will be published in the corresponding book (Languages ​​and Cultures of Tupí Peoples, Vol. 5).
 
 
Format of the manuscripts:
• A4 (21 x 29.7 cm)
• font: Times New Roman
• font size (main text): 12 pts
• paragraph indentation (first line): 1.0 cm
• line spacing: 1.5
• text alignment: justified

 

Long quote:
• font: Times New Roman
• font size: 11 pts
• paragraph indentation (all lines): 2.5 cm
• line spacing: 1.0
• text alignment: justified
 
Footnotes:
• font: Times New Roman;
• font size: 10 pts;
• line spacing: 1.0
• text alignment: justified
 
The manuscript zero page should contain:
• title of the work;
• author's or authors' name;
• their affiliation(s);
• their email address(es).

 

 

ABSTRACTS
 
Each article should contain TWO ABSTRACTS (max. 500 words), one in the language in which the article is written, another in English. However, if the article is originally written in English, an abstract in Portuguese will be added. The abstracts should be added at the top of the page 1, two lines after the title.

 

KEYWORDS
Each abstract should be followed by FIVE keywords separated by single point.
 
TEXT BODY
The text should be organized in sequentially numbered sections, whose titles should appear in bold (e.g., 1. Introduction; 2. Title; 3. Conclusion). NB: Do not number the References section.
Footnotes should be numbered in a single sequence throughout the paper.
 
REFERENCES
All bibliographical references should be included in the References section at the end of work, and must follow The Chicago Manual of Style.
 
SPECIAL FONTS
In case you need to use special fonts (phonetic symbols, for example), we suggest using the TIMES NEW ROMAN font with its IPA extension.
 
However, if special fonts used in the manuscript are used, you must send them by email.
